Fishing is in our blood. Our ancestors were very self-sustaining peoples, living off the land and obtaining nourishment from the things they caught. Trapping is no longer a way to make a living, but fishing has held on. The Pointe-au-Chien Indian Tribal community is a fishing community. Our Tribal citizens fish for shrimp, crabs, and oysters to not only act as their main source of their diet, but to make a living from.
